Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Αυτός ο μαρμάρινος θυρεός βρίσκεται τοποθετημένος σε υπέρθυρο ιδιωτικής οικίας στην Παροικιά Πάρου. Η απουσία θέματος επί του πεδίου υποδηλώνει ότι είτε δεν ολοκληρώθηκε ποτέ, είτε (το πιθανότερο) έχει απλώς διακοσμητικό χαρακτήρα, κατά μίμηση της μορφής των εραλδικών μνημείων. Η τελευταία περίπτωση δεν είναι σπάνια, ειδικά στην περίπτωση της Πάρου.
Historical Notice: This shield is to be found above the entrance of a private house in Paroikia. The absence of any charge on the field suggests either that it was never completed for some reason, or (most probably) that it is of a purely decorative nature, in imitation of the heraldic forms. The latter is not an uncommon phenomenon, especially on Paros island.
