Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Το εραλδικό αυτό σύνολο, που βρίσκεται στο φρούριο της Μεθώνης, περιλαμβάνει τον λέοντα του Αγίου Μάρκου και τα οικόσημα τεσσάρων Βενετών αξιωματούχων: του προβλέπτη Μεθώνης Luca Priuli (1708-1709), του διαχειριστή Μεσσηνίας Fransesco Corner (1707-1709), του προβλέπτη Μεσσηνίας Giovanni Badoer (1707-1710) και του ρέκτορα Μεσσηνίας Bernardo Lippomano (1708-1710).[ + ]

Historical Notice: This heraldic ensemble, on the walls of Methoni, bears the Venetian lion of Saint Mark, accompanied by the coats-of-arms of four Venetian officials: Luca Priuli, provveditore of Methoni (1708-1709), Fransesco Corner, administrator of Messinia (1707-1709), Giovanni Badoer, provveditore of Messinia (1707-1710) and Bernardo Lippomano, rector of Messinia.[ + ]
