Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Ιταλική οικογένεια καταγόμενη από το Este (επαρχία Πάδοβας), μέλη της οποίας υπηρέτησαν τη Βενετία ως στρατιωτικοί (κυρίως του μηχανικού και του πυροβολικού). Ο στρατιωτικός μηχανικός Μarino Gentilini συμμετείχε το 1593 στην οικοδόμηση του κάστρου της ʼσου, και τελικά εγκαταστάθηκε στην Κεφαλονιά. Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο βρίσκεται στην όψη του αρχοντικού Φωκά Κοσμετάτου-Γκεντιλίνη, στο Αργοστόλι, και αποτελεί κατασκευή του 20ού αιώνα.

Identification of the bearer: Cecilia Foca Kosmetatou-Klada (1829-1854)
Historical Notice: This particular heraldic ensemble is to be found on the monument of Cecilia Foca Kosmetatou-Klada, in the church of Archangel. It combines her paternal coat-of-arms (the two-headed eagle of Foca) with that of her husband (a hand holding an olive branch and a snake). The latter is considered a "canting" (allusive) coat-of-arms, "klados" being the Greek word for branch.
