Identification of the bearer: Member of the Crispi family
Historical Notice: Lombardian family from Verona, Italy, which ruled for almost two centuries the Duchy of Archipelago (1383-1537). This particular coat-of-arms is to be found in the yard of the Church of Panagia Aperathitissa and it was perhaps transfered to its present position from a family tower-house the Crispi probably possessed at Apirathos, as suggest Kefalliniadis and Slot.
