Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Βαυαρικός οίκος ευγενών. Ο κόμης Clemens von Waldkirch (1806-1858) ήλθε στην Ελλάδα επί Όθωνα και αργότερα διετέλεσε υπηρεσιακός πρωθυπουργός της Βαυαρίας (1848). Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο βρίσκεται στον τάφο του γιου του, Alexander von Waldkirch, που γεννήθηκε και απεβίωσε βρέφος στην Ελλάδα. Στο ταφικό μνημείο εικονίζεται επίσης το οικόσημο της μητέρας του, Mathilde von Waldkirch, το γένος von Magerl.

Historical Notice: Bavarian noble family. Clemens Graf von Waldkirch (1806 � 1858) came to Greece during the reign of king Othon and later served as acting prime minister of Bavaria (1848). This particular coat-of-arms is to be found on the grave of his son Alexander von Waldkirch, who was born and died as an infant in Greece. On the same tombstone is depicted also the coat-of-arms of his mother, Mathilde von Waldkirch (born von Magerl).
