Στοιχείο: Μάρτυρας σε έγγραφα από το 1526 μέχρι το 1545. Μάρτυρας της 13ης Μαϊου 1532 υπογράφει μαζί με το ζωγράφο Γαβρήλιο Μηνά*. Έγγραφα του 1541 αναφέρονται σε ιδιωτικές του υποθέσεις στο Ηράκλειο. Κατοικούσε στο βούργο του Χάνδακα, σε σπίτι που ανήκε στο μοναστήρι της Αγίας Αικατερίνας των Σιναϊτών. Πέθανε πρίν από τις 19-10-1548 σύμφωνα με έγγραφο που υποχρεώνει τη γυναίκα του Εργίνα να αφήσει το αμπέλι και το χωράφι της μονής της Αγίας Αικατερίνας,γιατί τελείωσε ο χρόνος μίσθωσης.

Το πρόγραμμα αποσκοπεί στη δημιουργία ενός Αρχείου για τους Έλληνες Ζωγράφους μετά την Άλωση (1450-1830), που περιλαμβάνει τα βιογραφικά τους στοιχεία και πλήρη κατάλογο των έργων τους, φορητών εικόνων και τοιχογραφιών, των οποίων δεν έχει γίνει καμία συστηματική καταγραφή στην Ελλάδα.
The programme aims to build up an archive of Greek painters after the fall of Constantinople (1450-1830), with biographical details and an index of their works, whether portable icons or church frescoes. A systematic record of artists and their paintings for this period has not been attempted in Greece before.
