Εργάσθηκε στο Ηράκλειο, όπου απαντάται ως μάρτυρας το 1627 και το 1636: miser Janin Lambardo quondam papa Nicolo depentor da Retimo(1). Στίς 13 Αυγούστου 1638 του δόθηκε ένας μήνας προθεσμία, για να αδειάσει το σπίτι όπου κατοικούσε(3). Έμμεση μαρτυρία για το ζωγράφο υπάρχει στις 23 Σεπτεμβρίου 1639(1).

Το πρόγραμμα αποσκοπεί στη δημιουργία ενός Αρχείου για τους Έλληνες Ζωγράφους μετά την Άλωση (1450-1830), που περιλαμβάνει τα βιογραφικά τους στοιχεία και πλήρη κατάλογο των έργων τους, φορητών εικόνων και τοιχογραφιών, των οποίων δεν έχει γίνει καμία συστηματική καταγραφή στην Ελλάδα.

The programme aims to build up an archive of Greek painters after the fall of Constantinople (1450-1830), with biographical details and an index of their works, whether portable icons or church frescoes. A systematic record of artists and their paintings for this period has not been attempted in Greece before.
