Ταύτιση φορέα του οικόσημου: Κωνσταντίνος Κονδύλης, πρόκριτος της Πάρου (16ος-17ος αιώνας)

Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οικογένεια προκρίτων της Πάρου, πιθανόν ιταλικής καταγωγής, αρχικά καθολικών και αργότερα ορθοδόξων. Το επώνυμο μαρτυρείται στο νησί από τον 16ο αιώνα, αλλά εντοπίζεται και σε άλλα νησιά του Αιγαίου (Νάξος, Άνδρος, Μήλος, Σκόπελος). Μέλη της οικογένειας υπήρξαν ιδιοκτήτες πύργου στο Καλάμι, έπαυλης στο Σαρακήνικο και οικίας στην Παροικιά, βοεβόδες και δημογέροντες του νησιού, καθώς και προξενικοί πράκτορες της Γαλλίας, της Αυστρίας και της Νεάπολης. Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο βρίσκεται στον πύργο στο Καλάμι που ανήκε άλλοτε στην οικογένεια Κονδύλη και κατόπιν στην οικογένεια Κρίσπη. Πρόκειται για "ομιλούν" οικόσημο, καθώς απεικονίζει το επώνυμο της οικογένειας (χέρι αριστερόστροφο που κρατά γραφίδα-κονδύλι). Αποδίδεται στον Κωνσταντίνο Κονδύλη που έζησε στα τέλη του 16ου και στις αρχές του 17ου αιώνα και ανακαίνισε τον πύργο το 1609.

Historical Notice: Family of notables of Paros, of alleged Italian origin, originally Roman Catholic but later converted to the Greek Orthodox faith, including the owners of a tower-house at Kalami, a mansion at Sarakiniko and a house in Paroikia, voivodes and "elders" of the local community, as well as consuls of France, Austria and Napoli.[ + ]
Historical Notice: Family of notables of Paros, of alleged Italian origin, originally Roman Catholic but later converted to the Greek Orthodox faith, including the owners of a tower-house at Kalami, a mansion at Sarakiniko and a house in Paroikia, voivodes and "elders" of the local community, as well as consuls of France, Austria and Napoli. The family name is detected on the island since the 16th century, but is also to be found on Naxos, Andros, Milos and Skopelos. This particular coat-of-arms is depicted above the gate of a tower-house at Kalami, once belonging to the Kondyli family and later to the Crispi. It is attributed to Konstantinos Kondylis, who lived during the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century and renovated the building in 1609. It is considered a "canting" (allusive) coat-of-arms, since it presents a human arm, with the hand holding a pen ("kondyli" being the modern Greek word for pen).
