Ταύτιση φορέα του οικόσημου: Ιωάννης Χαρτοφύλακας, ιατρός (17ος αιώνας)
Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Κρητική οικογένεια με τίτλο κρητικής ευγενείας ("Nobili Cretensi") από το 1608. Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο ανήκει στον ιατρό Ιωάννη Χαρτοφύλακα, ο οποίος το 1611 ανακαίνισε τη Μονή της Ζωοδόχου Πηγής (αποκαλούμενη "Χρυσοπηγή"), κοντά στα Χανιά.

Identification of the bearer: Ioannis Chartofilakas, doctor (17th century)
Historical Notice: Cretan family with a title of Cretan nobility ("Nobili Cretensi") since 1608. This particular coat-of-arms belongs to the doctor Ioannis Chartofilakas, who in 1611 renovated the Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi (called "Chrysopigi"), near Chania.
