Ταύτιση φορέα του οικόσημου: Emery d' Amboise, Μέγας Μάγιστρος (1503-1512) Τάγματος του Οσπιταλίου του Αγίου Ιωάννου της Ιερουσαλήμ
Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Γαλλικός φεουδαρχικός οίκος από την Τουρέν, που έδωσε, μεταξύ των άλλων, αξιωματούχους του Τάγματος του Οσπιταλίου του Αγίου Ιωάννου της Ιερουσαλήμ, καρδινάλιους της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας, στρατιωτικούς και κρατικούς αξιωματούχους της Γαλλίας.[ + ]
Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Γαλλικός φεουδαρχικός οίκος από την Τουρέν, που έδωσε, μεταξύ των άλλων, αξιωματούχους του Τάγματος του Οσπιταλίου του Αγίου Ιωάννου της Ιερουσαλήμ, καρδινάλιους της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας, στρατιωτικούς και κρατικούς αξιωματούχους της Γαλλίας. Ο εικονιζόμενος θυρεός ανήκει στον Μεγάλο Μάγιστρο Emery d' Amboise και είναι τετραγωνισμένος, συνδυάζοντας το προσωπικό του οικόσημο (δεύτερο και τρίτο τετράγωνο) με τον εμβληματικό σταυρό του Τάγματος του Αγίου Ιωάννου (πρώτο και τέταρτο τετράγωνο). Η παρουσία υποστηριγμάτων που συνοδεύουν το θυρεό (στη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση δύο"αγρίων", αποκαλούμενων "Ηρακλέων" στην νεότερη ελληνική εραλδική ορολογία), είναι σχετικά σπάνια στη Ρόδο και πολύ σπάνια στον γενικότερο ελληνικό χώρο.

Historical Notice: French feudal house from Touraine, including officials of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, cardinals of the Catholic Church, military and state officials of France.The arms of the Grand Master Emery d' Amboise, presented here (second and third quarters), are combined with the cross (first and fourth quarters), emblem of the Order. The presence of supporters depicted on either side of the shield (in this case, two "savages", called "Hercules" in modern Greek heraldry), is rare in Rodos, and quite uncommon in the Greek areas in general.
