Identification of the bearer: Pierre d' Aubusson, Grand Master (1476-1503) of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem
Historical Notice: French feudal house from Limousin. The arms of the Grand Master of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, Pierre d' Aubusson, presented here (second and third quarters), are combined with the cross (first and fourth quarters), emblem of the Order. Kos was occupied by the Hospitallers from the beginning of the 14th century to 1522.
