Identification of the bearer: Codardo de Carmadino, knight of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem
Historical Notice: Italian feudal house from N. Italy. The arms presented here (right) belong to the knight of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, Codardo de Carmadino, preceptor (commander) of the island of Kos, placed next to the cross, emblem of the Order. Kos was occupied by the Hospitallers from the beginning of the 14th century to 1522.
