Πρόκειται για τη μοναδική βιοτεχνία κατασκευής καμπανών στα Δωδεκάνησα, και ένα από τα ελάχιστα παραδοσιακά χυτήρια που υπάρχουν ακόμη. Λειτουργεί από το 1880 μέχρι σήμερα, με παραγωγή που φτάνει τις χιλιάδες καμπάνες.
